I purchased Michelle Corey's book The Thyroid Cure last year after being diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and then Graves disease. I am a nutritional therapist and try to treat my body with natural remedies so instead of working with my MDs recommendation of prescription drugs and no hope for a cure, I took the leap of faith and contacted Michelle. I followed her treatment plan in her book which includes an anti-goiter diet (I had a small nodule) along with the recommended vitamins and nutritional supplements for hyperthyroid, and of course healthy amounts of water, walking & sleep. I also added Pilates, R & R and prayer. She also has you take a thorough look at yourself in every area which includes balancing the "unbalanced" parts of your life! Like relationships, work, etc! For me helping family members that took advantage and being a workaholic were areas that I found comfort in adjusting to fit my new healthy lifestyle! I set boundaries and used my voice in saying NO for the first time ever! Every blood draw we saw my thyroid numbers improve and this last one shows my TSI (Graves antibodies) are normal! I technically do not have Graves disease any longer! Thanks to Michelle's book and her guidance this journey of healing has been the biggest blessing I have ever received!

This is a wonderful book for anyone with thyroid disease. It really helped me get some grasp on what might have caused my thyroid condition, because there is a great self assessment that is very in depth in this book. Knowing what the root cause of the disease is can be the beginning of a better targeted treatment plan. There is just a wealth of great knowledge in this book and anyone with thyroid issues should have this book in their home!
A lot of good information. I think many people will find value in this book. However, personally, I don't think it goes far enough in explaining the underlying problems that can cause thyroid disorders, and how to identify and help you to find health care from appropriate sources to really start healing the plethora of health issues that usually accompany thyroid issues. I would recommend anyone that does not know a lot about what happens with thyroid disorders and how to help improve their health to use this book as a good starting point. I haven't finished reading the book, but it's already made a huge difference in my life. A friend once told me, "When you feel bad enough, you'll do something different." With that in mind, I took the leap and began the elimination diet in the book. It was absolutely amazing! I have lost 30 lbs, but more importantly, I've learned that preservatives cause migraines for me and dairy causes acne. I've lowered my thyroid antibodies from the 250 range to the low 90's and I feel better than I have in years. I haven't gotten through all the reintroduction phase, but I've learned so much already, this book has been a life saver!
I expected more detailed information.All general everybody can find on Google or YouTube.
You just don't know how much better I feel because of this book. My hair stopped falling out, I don't feel like I could sleep all and night anymore, and the dark spots are disappearing. Excellent read.
This book taught me so much! Lost 17 lbs in 30 days. It's truly what you eat and how you live your life.
